Manager - Facilities Maintenance: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family

The primary responsibility of the Manager of Facilities Maintenance is to provide the facility and mechanical maintenance to assigned location. This position will also manage staffing to provide full time maintenance for all shifts; and is responsible for procurement of goods and services that support the operations including maintaining spare parts inventory as well as preventive maintenance of facility/distribution equipment.

How You Will Make a Difference:

+ Manages maintenance and mechanical staff to ensure performance goals are achieved and VF policies are maintained. Ensures all shifts are adequately staffed and plans work accordingly.

+ Communicates with all levels of management at each facility to keep informed on all maintenance issues and provides solutions. Ensures there are no mechanical/maintenance roadblocks to operations. Attends meetings as required.

+ Analyzes expenses to ensure budget goals are met. Analyzing pay data, labor, and expense reports to determine reason for budget variances. Ensures cost are controlled.

+ Maintains VF standards, OSHA, and environmental standards and codes to ensure all federal and state regulations are successfully implemented to meet requirements.

+ Coordinates the purchase of all parts and services required to maintain facility in full working condition to ensure that internal/external requirements are fulfilled.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 8+ years

Educational/Position Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Maintenance or Engineering.

+ Two-year technical training or Journeymen certification.

+ 8+ years' experience with industrial maintenance to include welding, electrical systems, and HVAC.

+ Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, pneumatics, and mechanical operations.

+ Working knowledge of HR policies, WRAP, IPM, OSHA, State and Federal codes.

+ Proficient at planning work schedules.

+ Strong purchasing/bidding skills.

+ Strong management skills.

+ Strong budgeting and financial monitoring skills.

+ Strong communication skills required to deal with all levels of management and hourly employees.

+ Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
